Bangladesh Army works restless in CHT for peace and devlopment- Kujendralal Tripura
[dropcap font=”arial” fontsize=”60″]B[/dropcap]angladesh Army works to confirm peace in Chittagong Hill Tracks. Not only that, they are working for betterment of ultra poor, said Kujendralal Tripura, Parliament Member elected from Khagrachari. He was the chief guest in a sharing and inception meeting with regional commanders organized by 24 Artillery Bridged on Monday evening.
Regional Commander Colonel Md. Toafael Ahmed presented the current security affairs in hills and a development plan on CHT in his welcome speech. He support the MP’s speech and said, Bangladesh Army works restless to explore of mineral gas from diggings which can use to produce electricity and industrialization and road renovation which is also related with further employment. Bangladesh Army will continue this development process, strongly said by Regional Commander.
Colonel Ahmed gives emphasis on education, health, electricity and tourism in his development and implication plan. ‘If we can live and work together peacefully and implement our foreign mission’s and hills experiences to develop hills, it is possible’, he added. Government-declared administrative infrastructure, to establish a college and Shahid Lieutenant Mushfiq Kindergarten School establishment in Guimara District was also discussed by the regional colonel.
Khagrachari District Commissioner Md. Masud Kaqrim, chairman of Khagrachari District Council Saitho Aung Marma, police super Shaikh Md. Mijanur Rahman, Khagrachari Reginal Commander Brigadier Md. Shamsul Alam, Guimara sector commander Colonel Shahrier and respective many attended the meeting. They assured their support to implement the development plan as there is no other option but execution of CHT Peace Accord and accomplishment the development plan, district commander uttered in the meeting. A strong voice approached to ensure the services for CHT people which will come from Juggotola Simutang Gas Field.
