BD ready to extradite Anup Chetia

DHAKA: Bangladesh is ready to send back Ulfa leader Anup Chetia to India and India is also agreed to return Nur Hossain, main accused of Narayanganj seven-murder case, following the legal procedure.
Home Secretary of Bangladesh Mozammel Haque Khan made the disclosure while briefing the reporters after the home secretary level meeting with India in capital’s Sonargaon Hotel on Wednesday noon.
In the visit, Indian home secretary Anil Goswami led the delegation.
Mozammel Haque said they also discussed about implementation of sharing of Teesta River water between the two neighbors, border disputes, Bangladeshi police and BGB training in India and historic agreement on demarcation of land boundaries and other issues.
He said once Anup Chetia sought Political asylum in Bangladesh. Now he wants to return and Bangladesh also ready to send him.
The secretary also urged India to extradite the killer of Bangabandhu who fled in India and the Indian delegation gave positive response about the matter.
