Land dispute solving process will start after Eid- Justice (Retd.) Anwarul Haque

[dropcap font=”arial” fontsize=”60″]L[/dropcap]and dispute in Chittagong Hill Tracks (CHT) can be solved permanently and to make it possible, commission will start work with full phase after Eid, said by current chairperson of Land Commission Justice (Retd.) Mohammad Anwar-ul Haque, was appointed on 7 September.

Chairperson expressed his dedication to get everyone’s trust and support. He had his first visit in CHT on Sunday after his appointment. He said, we need to set up discussions to arbitrate the issue. He had a meeting with his subordinate as well as locales and local journalist.

Chairperson wished to have more meetings with all members of the commission which may help to find the way out of land conflict in CHT. After accomplishing meeting, he left Khagrachari on Tuesday.

According to Article ‘D’ in CHT Accord, a retired justice will be the chair of land commission. Other members are Jotiridro Bodhopriyo (Santu) Larma, Chairperson of Ancholik Porisod and Chief of Circle, three CHT district Porisod Chairperson and Chittagong Divisional Commissioner, Md. Abdullah at present.

New chairperson of Land Commission Justice (Retd.) Mohammad Anwar-ul Haque was the sixth one appointed as Land Commissioner. Justice (Retd.) Khademul Islam Chowdhudy was the previous chairperson of the land commission.
