Rangmati Medical College will remain at Rangamati headquarters and classes of the college will be started very soon. Besides, Janasanghati Samittee representatives will be included to the college governing body. Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Wednesday in his ministry at a high level meeting spoke this.

He assured that quota of tribal students admission will be increased. Chittagong Hill Tracts affairs State Minister Bir Bahadur Ushesing, Feroza Begum Chinu MP, Rangamati District Council Chairman Nikhil Kumar Chakma, secretary to the ministry Naba Bikram Kishore, District Commissioner Shamsul Arefin,the college principal Dr Tipu Sultan, and project Director Dr Shahid Talukdar were present among others in the meeting.

It is mentionable that among the 10 hill organizations, only one organization is opposing to build Medical College at Rangamati headquarters and the rest is supporting to build the medical college. And they are demanded to start classes immediately. A hill student council is engaged to resist in building medical college at Rangamati. They are continuously threatening the common people living at Chittagong Hill Districts.
