Staff reporter:

Government at last has withdrawn restriction over travelling in the 3 hill districts in Bangladesh. The travelers may travel taking prior permission from district administration like earlier they did.

No need to take any permission from interior ministry. But in the cases of foreign researchers, it takes permission from interior ministry. In those cases, the application would be sent to the ministry 20 days earlier before starting travel.

This decision is taken at the meeting of interior ministry at secretariat and the meeting is presided over by state minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. Though the new decision is actually taken on January 5, a section of hill leaders and activists are opposing it from that very day.

On Sunday, the meeting again sits and takes revised decision publishing the press note on it slackening the restriction that imposed earlier. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal says the newsmen that we have slacken restriction and make easy travel more for the foreign visitors.
