Two gamblers held with a foreign made pistol, 4 round live bullets at Rangamati

Army led joint forces recovered an Italy made pistol along with 4 round of live bullets from a gambling place on Saturday night from Rangamati township. Sources said the joint forces at 7.30 pm carried on a search operation at Banarupa’s  Katapahar lane and recovered these firearms and ammunition.

Joint forces, at that time arrested Liton Marma(29) and Priyatam Dewan(32) for carrying illegal arms. Priyatam’s father is Ashok Kumar Dewan; their residence is Number One, Patharghata in Reservebazaar. Liton Marma’s father is Khiyan Prue Marma; residence is at local Garzantali.

According to the sources, on Saturday night forces raided a club at the area and found them engaged in alcohol drinking and gambling.  Forces, later handed over them to Rangamati Sadar Police station.  Officer-In- Charge said to parbattanews that they will take legal action against them.
