Bangladesh ended their group stage campaign in the Asia Cup qualifiers with a dominant 6–0 win over Turkmenistan on Monday.

Having already secured a place in the main round, the match was a formality for Bangladesh. But the team continued their strong form with a convincing performance.

Head coach Peter Butler kept the same starting eleven from the previous match against Myanmar. Bangladesh got off to a fast start, taking the lead in the third minute through Swapna Rani.

Shamsunnahar added two more goals in the 6th and 13th minutes to complete her brace. Monika Chakma and Rituparna Chakma scored in quick succession in the 16th and 17th minutes, making it 5–0. Turkmenistan, under pressure, made a goalkeeper substitution in the 19th minute, but it had little effect. Just a minute later, Tahura Khatun scored Bangladesh’s sixth.

Bangladesh came into the match with growing confidence, having recently beaten higher-ranked teams including Jordan, Bahrain, Indonesia, and Myanmar. The result against Turkmenistan met expectations and wrapped up their group stage on a high.
