Chief adviser, UN secretary-general join iftar with 1 lakh Rohingya refugees

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Friday joined nearly 100,000 Rohingya refugees for iftar at a refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar.
The iftar gathering was organized at the initiative of the chief adviser.
Earlier, the chartered flight carrying Professor Yunus and Guterres landed at Cox’s Bazar Airport at 12:48pm on Friday.
As part of the visit, the Chief Adviser inaugurated a project at Cox’s Bazar Airport and inspected the Khurushkul Climate Refugee Centre.
Later, Dr Muhammad Yunus and António Guterres participated in the iftar with nearly 100,000 Rohingya refugees in Ukhiya.
