The panel, named Bond of Affection, will field 14 candidates in Nawab Faizunnesa Hall, election officials said. Panel members collected nomination papers on Sept 15 at the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CHAKSU) building.
Promita Chakma, a postgraduate student in the Department of Theatre, said the hall was new and required reforms. She said the panel aimed to press for renovations.
General secretary candidate Singnyou Marma, a fourth-year student in the Department of Pali, said priorities included improving food quality and the library.
Assistant general secretary candidate May Thui Chit Khiyang, from the Management Department, said the panel wanted to ensure basic needs and create a non-divisive environment. She said representatives from all hill student groups were included.
Other candidates include Eti Chakma for sports secretary, Protyasha Chakma for literature and culture secretary, and Khing Khing Rakhine for office secretary.
