Joint Forces Operation in Bandarban: KNF member killed

A member of the Kuki Chin National Front (KNF) was killed during a joint forces operation in Simpalampi Para and Tajingdong hills of Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban. One KNF member was arrested, and two guns along with various items were recovered, officials said.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Simlay Para area of Thanchi Upazila.
During the operation, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was seized by the joint forces.
Law enforcement officials later recovered the body of the deceased KNF member.
Bandarban Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Md. Raihan Kazemi confirmed the details.
Although the identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, Kazemi stated that the body has been taken to Thanchi Police Station and will be sent to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
