Major reshuffle in army top brass

A major shake-up has occurred in the top brass of the Bangladesh Army.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) made the disclosure in a press release on Tuesday.

Major General Ziaul Ahsan, the Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC), has been dismissed from his position, while Lieutenant General Md Saiful Alam has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the release said.

Lieutenant General Md Mojibur Rahman has been appointed as GOC Army Training and Doctrine Command, Lieutenant General Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been appointed as Quartermaster General of the Army, Lieutenant General Mizanur Shamim as Army Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque as Commandant NDC and Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman as Director General of National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC).
