No Rakhine corridor without Dhaka, Naypyidaw nod, UN says

The United Nations has said it cannot support a humanitarian corridor from Bangladesh to Myanmar without approval from both governments.
“The UN needs consent from the countries involved to deliver aid across borders. Without it, our role is limited,” a spokesperson said, amid ongoing discussions over aid access to Myanmar’s Rakhine State.
The UN added it remains committed to supporting Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and is concerned about the worsening crisis in Rakhine.
“We’ll continue rallying international support for Bangladesh in hosting the Rohingya,” the spokesperson said.
