Army seizes large quantity of foreign liquor in Manikchhari

The Bangladesh Army has seized a significant quantity of foreign liquor during an operation in the Garitana area of Manikchhari upazila in Khagrachhari district.
According to army sources, acting on a tip-off, a patrol team from the Manikchhari Army Camp under the Sindukchhari Zone conducted raids on Monday night (14 July) in the Garitana, Goromchhari, and Moishhaura areas.
During the operation, the team confiscated 142 cans of beer, 38 bottles of whisky, and 5 bottles of vodka. The estimated market value of the seized liquor is approximately Tk 250,000.
The operation was part of the army’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and maintain law and order in the region.
