UPDF terrorists held with arms in Khagrachari army operation

Two terrorists of the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) Prasit faction have been apprehended by an army patrol team in Khagrachari, along with arms and ammunition.

The arrest took place during an operation in the No. 2 Gachban project neighborhood of Kukipara area in Vaibochhara union of Khagrachari Sadar Upazila, according to army sources.

Those arrested were identified as Sukendu Tripura, aged 36, son of Virendra Tripura, and Dipu Tripura, aged 18, son of Kamal Tripura.

The operation led to the recovery of an LG long rifle, four rounds of bullets, receipts of extortion, and other equipment from the terrorists.

The patrol team that carried out the operation belongs to Khagrachari Sadar Zone. Following the arrest, they handed over the terrorists to Vaibonchara police outpost for further legal proceedings.
