Matiranga Zone provides special humanitarian assistance

The Matiranga Army Zone in Khagrachari has provided free mosquito nets, medical services, and medicines to hill residents and Bengalis to combat dengue and malaria.
On Wednesday morning, Captain Md. Muid-ul Karim Chowdhury, the zone’s medical officer, offered free medical services to locals at Natrunpara Government Primary School. The initiative benefited 418 hill people and 279 Bengalis.
Additionally, 350 mosquito nets were distributed to residents in remote areas under the zone’s jurisdiction, including all camps within the Matiranga Zone Headquarters.
Earlier, Lt. Colonel Md. Kamrul Hasan, the zone commander, awarded prizes to the winners of the Zone Commander’s Cup Football Tournament, a 10-day event held at Matiranga Model Government High School. Guimara Sadar Union Football Eleven won the championship, while Matiranga Boys Football Eleven were the runners-up.
During the event, Lt. Colonel Hasan urged the community to work together towards a drug-free Bangladesh. He emphasized the Bangladesh Army’s ongoing commitment to supporting the public’s humanitarian needs, pledging that this dedication would continue into the future.
