Illegal weapons and ammunition used by tribal terrorists recovered in Rangamati

The Bangladesh Army has recovered two sophisticated foreign rifles, at least 150 bullets, explosives, ammunition, and various equipment used by armed tribal terrorists in Rangamati.
The weapons were seized during a special operation in the Tinnachari Yamchug area, located within the Rangamati Sadar Zone of the Bangladesh Army, on Tuesday (September 19) afternoon based on intelligence information.
According to the army, a B-type patrol team from the Rangamati Sadar Zone launched an operation in the Tinnachari Yamchug area on Tuesday afternoon, based on intelligence information. During the operation, one SMG, one T-81 China rifle, one 40 mm HE MG-3 bomb, three magazines (two for SMGs and one for a rifle), 141 rounds of SMG ammunition, 27 rounds of rifle ammunition, and two mobile phones were recovered from underneath a Kiang house in the area. Additionally, during the operation, a JSSL (Main) group terrorist surrendered to the army.
The Rangamati Sadar Zone said that security forces will continue such operations to maintain peace in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
