Israeli authorities have received nearly 39,000 claims for compensation for material damages caused by Iranian missile strikes, Anadolu Agency reported on Tuesday, citing local media.
According to the Yedioth Ahronoth daily, the Compensation Fund at the Israeli Tax Authority has received approximately 38,700 claims since the onset of the Israel-Iran conflict on June 13. The breakdown includes 30,809 claims for damage to buildings, 3,713 for vehicles, and 4,085 for equipment and other property.
“There are estimates that thousands of additional buildings were damaged but no compensation claims have yet been submitted,” the newspaper added.
The ultra-Orthodox news outlet Behadrei Haredim reported that over 24,932 of the claims were filed in Tel Aviv, while 10,793 originated from Ashkelon in southern Israel.
No official financial estimate has been provided regarding the total compensation to be disbursed.
The conflict escalated on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on multiple sites in Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, claiming Tehran was nearing nuclear weapons capability — an allegation Iran strongly denies.
Iran responded with missile and drone strikes, while the United States entered the fray with airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday.
Following nearly two weeks of hostilities, U.S. President Donald Trump announced an overnight ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
