Nine KNF members arrested with firearms in Bandarban

Nine members of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) were arrested on Tuesday in a joint operation led by the military in the remote Dopanichhara Para area of Ruma Upazila, Bandarban.

Security forces recovered nine locally made guns, 19 rounds of ammunition, two mobile phones, and two ID cards.

According to a statement by Rashedul Alam Khan, Assistant Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation is still ongoing.

The latest arrests bring the total number of KNF members and associates apprehended in connection with recent incidents of bank robbery, mosque attacks, and looting in Ruma and Thanchi Upazilas to 62.
