Three Rohingya youths arrested with fake notes in Chattogram

Chattogram’s Kotwali thana police in a drive have arrested three Rohingya youths with fake notes worth Taka 12 thousand from city’s KC Dey road area on Monday, July 25, 2022.

The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Osman, 32, Sayed Alam, 34, and Raihan Uddin, 25, all hailed from Rohingya camp under Ukia  upazila of Cox’s Bazar  district.

Jahidul Kabir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali thana, said the arrestees were professional fake note traders. Legal steps would be taken against them, they added.
