Upon receiving complaints from the victims’ families, police launched an operation. Suhui was arrested at the flat, and five teenage girls were rescued.

The rescued girls, aged 15 to 17, include two from Khagrachari and three from Rangamati.

Dhar said efforts are ongoing to arrest others involved in the trafficking ring. Legal action has been taken, and a case filed at Panchhari Police Station. Police will seek to remand the arrested suspects to aid in capturing other members of the organized ring.
