Two held with fake notes worth Tk 10 lakh in Rangamati

The Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested two people in possession of fake notes worth Tk 10 lakh in Rangamati.
They were arrested with the fake notes during a raid at a residential hotel named Lake View in the hilly district town on Sunday, May 22, Rangamti DB’s Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haq Sheikh said on Monday evening, May 23.
The arrestees were identified as Milon Rahman (26) and Shah Alam (55) hailing from Rajshahi and Narsingdi respectively.
Sensing the presence of the raid, two others managed to flee the hotel, according to the DB.
Quoting the arrestees, the DB said that two others who fled the hotel were Amir Hossain and Fakhrul Hasan.
A case is underway against them with Rangamati’s Kotwali Police Station.
