Bangladeshis remain safe in Iran: Embassy official

PARBATTA NEWS DESK

All Bangladeshi nationals currently in Iran remain safe amid recent Israeli strikes, with no reports of casualties or injuries, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran.

An embassy official said they have contacted Bangladeshis across various locations following the attacks. “So far, we have not received any information about any Bangladeshi being injured or killed,” the official told media outlets.

The embassy’s official records list 672 Bangladeshi citizens residing in Iran. However, sources suggest the actual number is significantly higher, as many Bangladeshis in the country are undocumented.

Most of the estimated 14,000 Bangladeshis in Iran are believed to be irregular migrants. The embassy continues to monitor the situation closely.
