UPDF member shot dead in Bandarban

A member of the United People’s Democratic Front or UPDF has been shot dead in Bandarban.
The deceased was identified as Jwalanta Chakma, 40.
Jwalanta Chakma came under a gun attack in the Punorbashopara area of the hill district’s Tonkaboti union around 5:30pm while going home in his motorcycle, and died on the spot, police have said.
Locals blamed the incident on the Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS).
Bandarban Sadar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam said they were yet to know about the incident in details.
