Two Rohingya youths held, bullets seized

Members of Highway Police on Saturday arrested two Rohingya youths at Whykhyang in Cox’s Bazar and seized 17 bullets from their possession.

Whykhyang highway police officer-in-charge, Kaiyum Uddin Chowdhury, said that the arrest and seizure were made in a bus on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Road at about 11:00am.

The Rohingya youths are Kefayet Ullah, 19, of Kutupalong and Anwar Mustafa, 18, of Bhasanchar in Noakhali.

Kaiyum claimed they had learned that the Rohingya youths collected those bullets from Myanmar military during their recent joining the junta force under their conscription.
