The Bangladesh Army has provided free medical treatment and medicine to residents of the remote Kurukpata area in Alikadam upazila of Bandarban district.
The medical camp was held on Tuesday (15 July) under the supervision of the Alikadam Army Zone and conducted by the Mendonpara Army Camp.
A total of 223 patients—55 men, 90 women, and 78 children—received medical consultations and essential medicines at no cost. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Bangladesh Army for the support.
During the event, medical officers also raised awareness about the prevention of dengue and malaria and advised residents to remain vigilant, particularly during the monsoon season.
In addition to healthcare services, locals were encouraged to maintain peace and harmony in the Chittagong Hill Tracts region by avoiding narcotics and refraining from involvement in any unlawful activities.
Officials said the army plans to continue such medical outreach programmes in the future. The Bangladesh Army reiterated its commitment to supporting local communities across the country.
