Commander of PCJSS armed wing arrested in Rangamati

Security forces have arrested Shantimoy Chakma, a company commander of the armed group of the Parbatya Chattogram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) in Rangamati.
He was apprehended on Monday evening (13 November) from the K.K. Roy Road in the hill district town.
It is known that the arrested Shantimoy Chakma hails from Sarowatali area in Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati.
According to security forces sources, Mr Chakma is an active member and company commander of the armed group of PCJSS. He is quite well-known in India under the name Ashish Chakma. However, within the PCJSS group, he is called Shyamal Chakma.
Ariful Amin, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Rangamati Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that the arrested PCJSS member is being interrogated. Further details will be provided later.
