Dump truck driver rescued in Bandarban After 17-hour kidnapping

Naikhongchhari police in the Bandarban district have successfully rescued Didar, a dump truck driver, after a harrowing 17-hour abduction. The rescue operation took place on Thursday, March 21, in the area close to the Sonaichhari Police Outpost.

Didar was abducted at approximately 7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 20. Criminals intercepted his vehicle on the bridge area east of Ghumghachh on Sonaichhari road and forcibly took him away.

“The dump truck driver, Didar, has been rescued,” confirmed Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Naikhongchhari Police Station Md Abdul Mannan. “A special police operation is underway to apprehend the individuals responsible for this crime.”
