Army’s Langadu zone provides humanitarian assistance

The Langadu zone of the Bangladesh Army provided humanitarian assistance to the impoverished and helpless people in the remote and inaccessible areas of the zone in Rangamati on Tuesday.

The aid included three bundles of corrugated iron sheets for the construction of a house for a destitute mother, cash for medical treatment for two sick individuals, and a book for a student who could not afford to study.

The zone commander, Lt Col Himel Mia, PSC, distributed the aid.

“The Bangladesh Army is always working for the welfare of the people,” said Lt Col Mia. “Especially alongside maintaining law and order, the Bangladesh Army is continuously working on education, healthcare, food, and housing.”

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the Army’s support.
