Mortar shells again in from Myanmar: Dhaka to summon Myanmar envoy

Bangladesh will summon Myanmar’s Ambassador to Dhaka U Aung Kyaw Moe tomorrow (Sept 3) in connection with the incident of two mortar shells fired by Myanmar near the zero line of Bandarban’s Naikhongchhari border.

“The ambassador of Myanmar to Bangladesh will be summoned on Sunday (September 4) in connection with the Myanmar border incident. A strong protest will be lodged with them against this incident.” Said State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam in an immediate reaction to the media on Saturday (September 3) after two shells fired by Myanmar landed in Bangladesh.
