Terrorists attack joint forces checkpoint in Alikadam

Armed terrorists attacked a joint forces search checkpoint in the 26 Mile Dim Pahar area of Alikadam in Bandarban district early Friday morning (April 5).

Tobidur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Alikadam Police Station, confirmed the incident. He explained that when a vehicle refused to stop for a search at the checkpoint, joint forces personnel opened fire. The vehicle’s occupants returned fire, resulting in a brief gunfight.
