Village Karbari allegedly kidnapped by JSS Santu group in Sajek

An allegation of the abduction of a village Karbari by the JSS Santu group has been reported from Hogra Kijing in Ward No. 7 of Sajek Union, Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati.
According to local sources, the incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 6.
The abducted individual is identified as Riten Chakma (42), son of Prabhat Chandra Chakma, residing in Hogra Kezing village, Ward No. 7, Sajek Union. He holds the position of Karbari in the village.
As reported by the locals, an armed group of 28 members from the Santu group arrived at Hoghra Kijing village around 7 pm on Thursday.
They allegedly abducted Riten Chakma at gunpoint, blindfolding him with a towel before taking him from his house.
The locals and family members are unaware of the reasons behind the abduction and the whereabouts of Riten Chakma.
However, it has been confirmed that Riten Chakma is not affiliated with any political party.
As of the time of writing this report, Riten Chakma remains unreleased, causing deep concern among his family members who have been unable to trace his whereabouts.
