Will crack down on terrorists with iron hand: Brig Gen Jahangir

Brigadier General Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Regional Commander of the Army in Khagrachari, has vowed to crack down on terrorists with an iron hand.
He said, “This country is ours; there is no place for terrorists in this country. There is no forgiveness either for them – who conspire against this country.
“Just as I stay by your side in your sorrows and joys, I am strict in cracking down on terrorists.”
Brigadier General Jahangir was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a free medical camp in Khagrachhari’s Panchhari upazila on Wednesday (March 23).
“Bangladesh Army is always by your side in your sorrows and joys,” he added pledging to soon set up an eye camp at the place where the free medical camp has been organised.
Brigadier General Jahangir also called for cooperating with the army to turn Khagrachhari into a prosperous district in the country.
More than 600 men and women from different communities received free medical services at the camp. Khagrachhari Army Sadar Zone organised the camp with five field ambulances.
Elderly Surya Mohan Chakma of Karbari Para, Lakshi Devi Chakma of Jitendra Para and Rupayan Chakma of Lambupara expressed their happiness to receive the free medical service.
As well as speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the camp, Brigadier General Jahangir, also Khagrachhari Regional Commander, inspected the camp and handed over wheelchairs and cash assistance to three physically challenged people.
Khagrachhari Army Sadar Zone Captain Lieutenant Colonel Saiful Islam Sumon and Staff Officer of Khagrachhari Region Major Jahid Hasan and local representatives, among others, were present during the inauguration ceremony.
