Army detains 5 terrorists, seizes arms in Khagrachhari

The army has detained five terrorists along with a large quantity of arms, ammunition and IED equipment during a special raid in Khagrachhari.

Based on a tip-off, a team of the army conducted the raid in Battali, South Kanchannagar area under Sindukchhari union of the hill district’s Mahalchhari upazila at 4:00am.

The tip-off on which the raid was conducted, was that Mug Party terrorists were conducting their terrorist activities along Manikchhari-Fatikchhari border.

It is learned that the terrorists had been conducting their terrorist activity taking position in one Ramzan Ali’s house in Battali, holding him hostage for the past three days.

Later, the detained terrorists and seized arms, ammunition and others were handed over to the police after necessary procedures.
