UPDF terrorist arrested with weapons in Rangamati special operation

In a successful operation, Rangamati Army Region apprehended a member of the UPDF (Main) armed group in the Shukurchari area of Sublong Union, Rangamati district.

During the operation, they recovered a cache of weapons, including an HK-33 (German) rifle, a magazine, and 22 rounds of ammunition.

The operation, conducted on Wednesday (July 26) at 4 pm, was based on intelligence inputs received by the authorities.

Although all but Tarit Chakma (35) managed to escape, and he surrendered to the army, along with the confiscated HK-33 rifle, magazine, and ammunition.

Rangamati Army Region remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining peace and order in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

As part of this endeavor, they will continue conducting such operations in the future, including efforts to recover weapons and curb illegal activities.
